Dean grew up in the UK graduating from the University of Birmingham with an Honours degree in Physics. After a short spell in industry working in Health Physics for the UK Atomic Energy Authority he returned to academia to obtain a PGCE from the University of Bath. Since that time he has worked as an Assistant Science Team Leader and led Physics teams both small and large in a number of UK schools.
He is a teacher of considerable experience. He is passionate about his specialist subject and loves to nurture the natural curiosity that all young people have for the fascinating world around them. He feels privileged to have inspired large numbers of students to opt to study physics at the schools at which he’s worked and to have seen many of his students go on to study physics and related disciplines at prestigious Russel Group universities.
Having spent several summer holidays exploring the Lac Léman region, Dean made the decision to move to Switzerland with his family in 2018 and his two girls now attend La Côte International School. He is excited to be part of the LCIS team inspiring and supporting the next generation of international learners in their exploration of the world.
