Susie Mueller was born in London and studied Fine Art- painting for her Bachelor Degree in Brighton. She gained her Post-Graduate degree in Fine Art in the Slade School of Art, University College London, under the professorship of Sir Laurence Gowing and her MA in the History and Theory of Modern Art at Chelsea College of Art.
She taught at the University of Plymouth, in Exeter Art College where she was in charge of Critical and Contextual Studies for Foundation and BTEC Courses. Later, she taught Fine Art Painting to the BA Degree students there. She also taught Art and Design part-time in the Sylvia Young Theater School in Marylebone, London, for seven years.
In 1991, she took the job of Head of Art at St Georges’ School in Switzerland. During this time, she taught A Level Art and Art History, Philosophy, IGCSE Art and Design and later, Visual Art for the IB Diploma.
She contributed to many extra-curricular activities including theatre design, editing the school magazine, fitness and aerobics and trips abroad and to galleries. After this, she became a scientific collaborator, teaching students doing a Masters in Architecture at the EPFL.
She enjoys cooking, dancing, theatre, architecture. She has two boys and has lived in Switzerland for over 26 years.
