After gaining two teaching degrees, Mme Wahlen started her career at the Chantemerle boarding school in Blonay, where she taught in a multi-level class (CP to CM2). A sabbatical year in Florence (Italy), gave her the opportunity to work in an art restoration workshop, learning the art of XV century gilding and compiling a book on the the coats of arms of XIV century Florentine families.
Back from Italy, Mme Wahlen worked in Switzerland for 6 years as a full-time private tutor for a Swiss family. In her next role, she taught in 6ème for many years at Ecole Mont-Olivet in Lausanne, where she was also Theatre and Performing Arts teacher, responsible for the end-of-year show.
In 2005, Collège Champittet in Lausanne offered Mme Wahlen a role launching two new classes of 7ème and 8ème at their campus in Nyon, where she taught for 15 years. Over the years, she continues to train regularly at IFP (Geneva), adding other pedagogical tools to her practice. Mme Wahlen joined LCIS in 2015, as 7ème teacher for the newly launched filière bilingue maturité suisse.
Winter sports, mountain walks, bike rides, animal photography, tending to her family's vineyards, gardening, reading, history, classical music are among the activities that she particularly appreciates and is passionate about.
