Lucile Giroud

French Language Teacher

Lucile grew up in the Champagne region of France and graduated from the University of Avignon with Master's degrees in English and French as a Foreign Language. As part of the Amity Institute's Intern Program, Lucile did a one year internship at the French Academy of Minnesota, Minneapolis, where she taught French at Kindergarten students. In 2014 she taught 5th and 6th graders at The French School, a French immersion school in St Louis, Missouri. 

In 2015, she moved to Xi'an, China, to teach French history, French culture and the French language to university students at Xi'an Jiaotong University and later at the Alliance Française. She also took part in an intensive programme aimed at teaching French to engineering students preparing to study in French universities. Lucile moved to Switzerland in 2017 with her Swiss partner. In her free time, she enjoys going to the theatre, reading and discovering La Côte region.
