Marie Ostfeld

French Teacher

Born in Lorca, Spain, Marie arrived in France at the age of 4, where she learned French at school with the help of her mother who is a fluent French-speaker.

Marie graduated from the University of Sciences in Lyon and returned to the Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maîtres to obtain her academic diploma as a primary teacher.

She taught for 14 years in primary French classes and has an excellent knowledge of the learning methods and expectations pertinent to each age level. Marie participates in numerous projects and has a great interest in pedagogy. She was a Primary class teacher at Collège Champittet Nyon for 2 years before joining LCIS.

"Every student is unique," she says. "It is important to build on what has been achieved, to focus on weaknesses to help them progress. I try to give the students the drive and the motivation necessary to advance and a love of learning to help them progress and achieve their objectives. "
