My name is Siobhan Newell. For the last ten years I have lived in London, having previously completed my BA (Hons) in Graphic Communication at Bath Spa University. My move led to the completion of my PGCE at Goldsmiths, University of London.
My experience of teaching covers a range of specialisms in design including built environment, product design and graphics. I am an advocate for STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics), I have a particular interest in environmental issues and the need for sustainable design.
In my spare time I enjoy visiting design museums and have a love of typography. Having grown up in the Lake District and having been educated in the Yorkshire Dales, I am excited to get out of London and to be able to spend time exploring the Swiss countryside. I am a keen skier and enjoy discovering new places with my two dachshunds.
