SEN Teacher and Secondary SEN Coordinator

Stephanie Walmsley joined La Côte International School in 2016 as our special educational needs teacher for both Primary and Secondary sections. Stephanie has over 15 years combined experience in both teaching and leadership in Early Years, Primary and Secondary curriculums as well as UK KS1 and KS2. She has led teams of teachers and therapists in programmes of student support in international and private schools. Stephanie began her career training as a children’s social worker in youth and disability teams in the UK, before moving into the education sector. Through her work and research studies she has developed strong relationships and connections within the education and health sectors both locally and internationally. Stephanie has recently been researching with the University of South Wales, UK, into practices of ADHD within children and adult services.  She enjoys trekking, cycling and fossil hunting on the UK Jurassic coasts with her family.
