Vivienne Herke

School Counsellor

Vivienne is in the 3rd year of a Phd in Counselling Psychology at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (in conjunction with the University of Middlesex) in London and she joins LCIS in September for the 2018/9 academic year.

Vivienne is also a registered social worker in Switzerland and the UK as she has a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and a BA in Psychology from McGill University both in Canada.  She has worked with teenagers, parents and families in the pediatric department at the CHUV in Lausanne, in multi-practitioner service teams in England and with community organisations, the government, and hospitals in Canada.

 Vivienne has lots of experience of moving and the challenges of settling in and adapting to different cultures. She is British-Canadian, married to a Swiss and has been raising 3 bilingual children in canton Vaud since 2014.
