I love my job and I am extremely proud and excited to be working at the British College of Brazil! Being a teacher is both an honour and a privilege and a career in teaching provides a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of so many children.
One of the reasons that I became a teacher is because I was fortunate to have excellent teachers who instilled within me a love of learning and a passion for education. I hope that my enthusiasm in the classroom will contribute to the children that I teach achieving great things both now and in the future. I truly believe, that with the right mindset and correct application, anything is possible; it is important that children hear this message every single day.
Prior to undertaking my teacher training, I obtained a joint honours degree in English Literature and History and a postgraduate diploma in Law. I have wide and varied interests including Russian history, English literature spanning a variety of time periods and the theatre.
Outside of school I enjoy playing football, tennis and running, as well as reading and travelling - I hope to see as much of the world as possible!
I have been teaching for eight years; prior to teaching in Brazil I worked at an international school in Cairo as well as a number of schools in the United Kingdom.
I am very much looking forward to getting to know the children and parents at the British College of Brazil and celebrating the many successes that will follow through being a part of such a wonderful school community.
