My background is in languages, having studied French and Hispanic Studies at the University of Nottingham. Since leaving university in 2013, I have taught in a variety of schools, as well as home tutoring. I lived and worked in France and Spain, I am really intrigued by other cultures so I have travelled to many countries which I believe has greatly impacted who I am as a person, open-minded and always willing to expand my understanding and knowledge of the world.
Being able to pass on to others what I know and the things which I am passionate about is turning into a lifelong journey. I get a buzz off of sharing ideas and communicating with students, seeing their growth and being there to support them is a wonderful feeling. I believe there is no greater gift that you can give someone but the ability to think for themselves.
Outside of school, I love spending time with animals, dogs especially, so I volunteer at shelters or just generally offer looking after my friends' dogs! I take great joy in cooking, trying out new recipes and especially sharing this with the people closest to me. Since moving to Brazil, I have also taken on Jiu-jitsu and the gym is already like a second home for me.
