On thursday we were visited by Educalcohol Costa Rica who gave our 8th graders and important talk about the potential damage they could do by engaging in underage drinking http://www.educalcoholcr.org/. This year we have worked with parents to generate some key agreements as our 8th graders head into HS. I strongly believe that if we are strong and stick to these agreements as a community we can keep our students safe and healthy going forward.
5th to 6th Transition
On Thursday morning Miss Urrutia and Miss Rodriguez organised a wonderful transition for the 5th graders into Middle school. It was a great chance to introduce them to our middle school Keys to Character: Be responsible, be respectful, be kind, and be honest! Sixth graders had written some letters to the incoming 5th graders which were read out to them. We then played some fun team building activities before a tour of the middle school. I had the chance to take on Mr Young at Ping Pong and I am pleased to announce I narrowly won!
