Partners in Learning

Our caring teachers are committed to building strong connections with our families, ensuring open lines of communication with parents and providing regular opportunities for you to engage meaningfully with your child’s learning.

NIS learning showcase

We warmly invite parents into our classrooms during drop off or pick up, giving opportunities for informal but important conversations where we can tell you about your child’s day. Parents evenings are held termly to discuss progress and share feedback, and we often host student-led showcases where your child will directly demonstrate their learning. You are also able to make an appointment to discuss specific topics with your child’s teachers throughout the year.

To help you understand how you can best support your child’s learning at home, we offer a programme of expert-led workshops each year, covering topics such as ‘Supporting Your Child’s Reading Development’ or ‘ STEAM at School and at Home’. These are very well received and we invite suggestions for future subjects.

Our weekly newsletters and learning overviews share and celebrate what’s happening in your child’s class and across the school. Nord Anglia Education also regularly undertakes parent satisfaction surveys so that our families can tell us what we’re doing well and where there are opportunities to improve.

We really value our relationship with parents... we like to involve them in school life as much as possible. Domine Brown - Early Years Coordinator
