1:1 Program

  • Student with laptop

Students in grade 5 actively participate in ISR’s 1:1 Program, where technology is fully integrated into every class. Students in grades 5 and 6 use iPads, while those in grades 7 to 9 use Macbooks.

Students create content, research, take digital notes, take online quizzes, and collaborate with their peers in and out of school.

The Technology Coaches collaborate with subject teachers to design projects, which will boost students’ creativityand help them achieve a deeper understanding of the subject content. Projects include presentations, web pages, iBooks, podcasts, and videos.

Technology integration increases students’ engagement in the learning process. They are constantly challenged to create original content and become critical thinkers able to solve problems, suggest solutions, and make their own decisions.

Vision of the program:

  • Students bring a device to school that will be used in all of their core subjects.
  • Teachers encourage students to learn and grow outside the classroom walls.
  • Students have ubiquitous access to information, high order problem solving, and content creation.
