Diana Garza is the Valle Alto Campus Director. She has a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from ITESM and a Master's in International Education from the University of Framingham. She has worked in the educational field for over 25 years, most of them at San Roberto International School.

She has led different projects and has actively participated in the re-accreditation process of our school.

Ms Rossana Gutiérrez is the Valle Alto Early Years Principal. She has been part of San Roberto since 1998, working in several positions as Homeroom Teacher, Preschool Coordinator, and Elementary Vice Principal for 9 years.

She actively participates in different academic and nonacademic committees and has been involved in all of the accreditation and improvement processes.

Claudia Esquivel has been part of the San Roberto International school family since 2007 and has served as a Nursery, Preschool, Pre Primary, and Lower Elementary teacher.

Claudia Esquivel has been part of the San Roberto International school family since 2007 and has served as a Nursery, Preschool, Pre Primary, and Lower Elementary teacher.  She has been involved in curriculum committees including taking the role as Early Childhood Curriculum leader and has led many different workshops. Mrs. Esquivel holds a Bachelor degree in Preschool Education from Secretaria de Educación Publica and a Bachelor degree in Educational Sciences from Universidad Interamericana. In addition, she has a Master in Education Psychology from Universidad Regiomontana and a Master in Multidisciplinary Sciences from Buffalo State University. She is part of the Destination Imagination board as a Training Director. Her role is to organize, develop and lead different workshops for the program.

Upper School Principal
Mr. De La Garza has been part of the San Roberto community since 2003, serving in roles such as Science Teacher, Director of Academics, and MS Principal. He holds a Master’s Degree in International Education from Framingham State University.

He holds a Master’s Degree in International Education from Framingham State University, International School Leadership Certification from the Principals Training Center, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Talent Development from Universidad del Valle de México. Mr. de la Garza has been involved in recruitment processes for local and international teachers and coordinating orientation and training sessions for ISR staff members. He has also led school initiatives related to the reaccreditation processes.

Anthony Arena
Elementary Principal
Mr. Anthony Arena earned a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University in his home state of New Jersey. Shortly after, he found his passion for education while teaching English Language Learners. In his 7 years of teaching, he has experience teaching 6th through 12th grade.

Mr. Anthony Arena earned a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University in his home state of New Jersey.  Shortly after, he found his passion for education while teaching English Language Learners, inspiring him to return to school for his teaching certification in Secondary English from Moreland University in Washington, DC. In his 7 years of teaching, he has experience teaching English Language Arts, World Literature, American Literature, and other writing courses. Over the past two years, Anthony earned a Master’s Degree from Framingham University while serving as the vice principal of Upper Years working closely with grades four and five building community and fostering a safe learning environment where students can feel supported, collaborative, and can express their inner creativity. Furthermore, Anthony has been involved in San Roberto’s Bullying Prevention Committee, Discipline Committee, and several others.  With a passion for learning, kindness, and empathy, Anthony is excited to take the next step in his new role towards contributing to a positive learning environment for all students.

Carrie Simone Hultgreen is an educational leader that spreads her enthusiasm for literacy and data analysis to everyone that crosses her path. For over twenty years she has taught diverse student populations from early childhood all the way through adult education in Canada, Japan, and Mexico.

Carrie Simone Hultgreen is an educational leader that spreads her enthusiasm for literacy and data analysis to everyone that crosses her path. For over twenty years she has taught diverse student populations from early childhood all the way through adult education in Canada, Japan, and Mexico. For many years she worked as a middle school literacy instructional coach at San Roberto International School in Monterrey, Mexico and was an online co-facilitator for Nord Anglia University’s course in Guided Reading. Currently she works as the school’s RTI and Data Coordinator and has been in this role since 2018. Carrie has collaborated on publications such as Alberta Education’s Safe and Caring Schools for Aboriginal Students and Prepa Tec’s Perfil. She holds an M.Ed in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts and a B.A. in English Literature and a B.Ed. with a specialization in English Language Arts and Social Studies instruction from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.

For over 25 years in the education field, she has fulfilled her passion in helping students become independent learners. Now as the international students’ program coordinator, Sandra promotes the inclusion of students into the community as they acquire the English and Spanish languages. The School Within a School (SWAS) initiative provides an opportunity for students to explore the new languages and scaffold their learning to reach grade level readiness.

María Cristina Lozano is a professional worker whose passion and vocation is to teach the Spanish language as well as the development of literacy skills that turn children and young people into successful and competent students. Her academic training, aimed at fulfilling her objectives, began with a degree in Education at Universidad Regiomontana and continued later with a Master's degree in Education with a specialty in the Cognition of the Teaching-Learning Processes by ITESM. She has worked as a teacher at all elementary and middle school levels for more than thirty years at the San Roberto International School. She currently serves as the Leader of the Spanish Curriculum Committee, is a Spanish Coordinator and a Balanced Literacy Coach.

As Literacy Support at ISR, she guides teachers in the implementation and monitoring of Balanced Literacy as well as working with administrators and staff to collect, analyze and use data to guide instructional decisions. She works to instill in teachers an appreciation for the intricacies of the English language whilst promoting to build ownership of learning for every student. She is most passionate about teaching and is fully committed to creating positive learning experiences in which children and adults can reach their utmost potential.

After some years of experience as a child therapist and teacher, and driven by the idea that “with a good interdisciplinary team children can overcome the challenges posed by development”, in 2003 she founded Retos Psicología Infantil, a therapeutic center for children from 2 to 14 years old, where she served as director for 15 years.

She is the creator and project leader of: “La Gloria'' and “Más Vale Actuar”. Social responsibility is one of her priorities that has not only defined her work life, but also her personal life. Norma holds a Masters degree in learning processes from ITESM.

Jorge Herrera graduated from UANL Universidad de Nuevo León and holds a BA in Physical Education & Sport Science, and he is in the process to get a Master’s degree in Sports Management. He has Certifications in Sports Marketing issued by the Universidad Del Valle de Mexico, as well as a Certificate in Sports Business issued by Cruyff University.
Jorge Herrera - Athletic Director
Jorge Herrera graduated from UANL Universidad de Nuevo León and holds a BA in Physical Education & Sport Science, and he is in the process to get a Master’s degree in Sports Management. He has Certifications in Sports Marketing issued by the Universidad Del Valle de Mexico, as well as a Certificate in Sports Business issued by Cruyff University. He has a certification in Sport Coaching from Sports Coaching World as well as in Empowering Coaching from the UK University of Birmingham. Jorge began his coaching career as a trainer at Sports Clinic in Monterrey, he joined San Roberto International School in 1998, and he is a former Soccer coach, Soccer Coordinator, Sports Coordinator, and currently the Athletic Director. He also worked as a physical trainer for the professional team “Club de Fútbol Monterrey”. He has actively participated in the ASOMEX Association of American Schools in Mexico, currently VicePresident of the ASOMEX Athletic Directors Board., Internationally he has been involved in the organization of “The Games” the NAE sport event including schools from the American Region.

Yerika is a cultural promoter, actress, producer, founder and partner of “Teatro de los Peripatéticos A.C.” and “La Bodega de Dionisios" (Drama Space). She graduated with a degree in Conductual Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon as well as holds a degree from the U.A.N.L. Performing Arts School.
Yérika Zambrano - Fine Arts Coordinator
Yerika is a cultural promoter, actress, producer, founder and partner of “Teatro de los Peripatéticos A.C.” and “La Bodega de Dionisios (Drama Space). She graduated with a degree in Conductual Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon as well as holds a degree from the U.A.N.L. Performing Arts School. As an actress she has participated in 97 plays with locally recognized directors. She gained experience as a scene director in 57 different plays as part of University experimental drama. She has participated in the Drama Course in the École Internationale de Théâthre Jacques Lecoq, Barcelona Spain for 6 consecutive summers, TV production, Dramaturgy workshop, Introduction to Semiotics, Makeup Workshop, Actor work with objects, Fencing, Psychodrama Course, Children Literature Course among others. At San Roberto, she has produced multiple musicals since 2001, such as High School Musical, The King, Annie, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, among others. Yerika believes drama is undoubtedly one of the scenic expressions with the greatest impact on the viewer, as it relies on body, vocal and musical expression, it is a discipline that proposes work tools that help in all areas of scenic.

Mariam has been a dance teacher and choreographer for more than 15 years. She has a degree in Dance Education with speciality in Classical Dance by La Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey from INBA, a Master’s Degree in Education, and a speciality in Innovation, both from Universidad TecMilenio.

As part of continuous professional development Mariam has certifications by the American Ballet Theatre ABT and Progressing Ballet Technique. She started her ballet studies under the Royal Academy of Dance program, she also trained in several dance disciplines such as pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical comedy; this last discipline gave her the opportunity to participate in several musical performances with different directors of local companies. Mariam has been part of San Roberto International School since 2013 as dance teacher and is part of the team of choreographers for national and international competitions.

Katia has been a member of the San Roberto Family for 9 years as a library media specialist, where she inspires in the members of our community the love for reading and both trains and encourages students on the use of digital resources and information technologies; she collaborates closely with the academic staff to support them in finding print and digital resources that meet their curriculum needs.

She has worked at the library and information field since 1997 when she started at the library of Tec de Monterrey (Monterrey Campus); she holds a degree as a Bachelor Public Accountant, a Master in Finance as well as a Master in Library and Information Science, all from Tec de Monterrey.
