Laura Elizondo
San Agustín Campus Director
Laura Elizondo is the Campus Director at San Agustin Campus. She has been a part of the San Roberto family since 2005, where she has also served as a middle school math teacher, Middle School Vice Principal, and Middle School Principal. She holds a BBA degree in International Marketing from Universidad de Monterrey, a Master's degree in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts, and a certificate in International School Leadership from the Principals' Training Center (PTC).
Laura Elizondo - San Agustín Campus Director

Laura Elizondo is the Campus Director at San Agustin Campus. She has been part of the San Roberto family since 2005, where she has also been a middle school math teacher, Middle School Vice Principal and Middle School Principal. She is also a member of different committees such as, School Improvement Team and Math Curriculum among others. She holds a BBA degree in International Marketing from Universidad de Monterrey and a Master in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts.

Blanca Andrade is the Preschool Principal at San Agustín Campus. She has been at ISR since 1994, where she has also served as teacher, Academic Coordinator, and Lower Elementary Coordinator.

She has a bachelor degree in Translation form UANL, a Master in Education from Universidad de Monterrey and a Master in International Education from Framingham State University. She has actively participated since 2001 in AdvancEd. Blanca is married with three children, and she is passionate about her family and education.

She has been working in the education field for the last 19 years with outstanding results in Preschool, Elementary and at the Learning Center from San Roberto. She is an organized, enthusiastic and active person. She is married and has two sons. She enjoys reading, running and spending time with her family.

Mr. John Kennedy is the Middle School Principal at San Agustín Campus. He has 21 years of experience in education at public, private, and international schools and colleges as an instructor and administrator.  Previously, he served three years as curriculum director at ISR from 2008-2011.

She holds degrees in both Education and Psychology and a Master's Degree in Child Psychology. She has been working with Elementary aged students for 6 years, with the last 4 being at ISR. She has led learning with students in whole groups, small groups, and 1-1 sessions. In addition to this she has experience in leading teachers in professional development and guided many parents in supporting their child's wellbeing.

Jennifer Martin is an Elementary Assistant Principal for the San Agustin Campus. She has been part of the San Roberto family for over 15 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education and a Master´s Degree in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts.

Jennifer Martin has been at ISR for over 15 years, promoting excellence in the classroom and graduating years of students that are driven to setting goals and reaching them. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education and a Master's Degree in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts. Her wealth of experience in the classroom will enrich teachers' practice throughout Elementary as she works alongside them to provide the colorful, engaging lessons that are rich in content.

Joanna is the Middle School Vice Principal at San Agustín Campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership, both from California University of Pennsylvania. She taught at San Roberto Valle Alto Campus from 2009 - 2012 as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher.
Joanna Hamilton - Middle School Vice Principal
Joanna is the Middle School Vice Principal at San Agustín Campus. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education and a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership, both from California University of Pennsylvania. She taught at San Roberto Valle Alto Campus from 2009 - 2012 as a 7th grade Language Arts teacher. Since then, she has been teaching and leading at schools in Mexico City, Washington, D.C. and Monterrey, having more than 15 years of experience at the Middle School level.

Carrie Simone Hultgreen is an educational leader that spreads her enthusiasm for literacy and data analysis to everyone that crosses her path. For over twenty years she has taught diverse student populations from early childhood all the way through adult education in Canada, Japan, and Mexico.

Carrie Simone Hultgreen is an educational leader that spreads her enthusiasm for literacy and data analysis to everyone that crosses her path. For over twenty years she has taught diverse student populations from early childhood all the way through adult education in Canada, Japan, and Mexico. For many years she worked as a middle school literacy instructional coach at San Roberto International School in Monterrey, Mexico and was an online co-facilitator for Nord Anglia University’s course in Guided Reading. Currently she works as the school’s RTI and Data Coordinator and has been in this role since 2018. Carrie has collaborated on publications such as Alberta Education’s Safe and Caring Schools for Aboriginal Students and Prepa Tec’s Perfil. She holds an M.Ed in International Education from Framingham State University in Massachusetts and a B.A. in English Literature and a B.Ed. with a specialization in English Language Arts and Social Studies instruction from the University of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.

For over 25 years in the education field, she has fulfilled her passion in helping students become independent learners. Now as the international students’ program coordinator, Sandra promotes the inclusion of students into the community as they acquire the English and Spanish languages. The School Within a School (SWAS) initiative provides an opportunity for students to explore the new languages and scaffold their learning to reach grade level readiness.

María Cristina Lozano is a professional worker whose passion and vocation is to teach the Spanish language as well as the development of literacy skills that turn children and young people into successful and competent students. Her academic training, aimed at fulfilling her objectives, began with a degree in Education at Universidad Regiomontana and continued later with a Master's degree in Education with a specialty in the Cognition of the Teaching-Learning Processes by ITESM. She has worked as a teacher at all elementary and middle school levels for more than thirty years at the San Roberto International School. She currently serves as the Leader of the Spanish Curriculum Committee, is a Spanish Coordinator and a Balanced Literacy Coach.

She is an Apple teacher that enjoys writing and learning about Education. She currently writes and shares her articles on local blogs. Linda is a mom of three kids , therefore she understands education from different angles. She is able to see through the teacher's, coach’s and parent’s perspective.

Magda has devoted more than 20 years in the education field. Her experience includes Elementary and Preschool education, therapy to develop intellectual skills and work habits. Magda is a mother of two kids and enjoys seeing them developing reading and writing skills. This gives her an excellent opportunity to explore Writing and Reading from different perspectives which lets her to reflect about best practices that can enrich students’ growth and development in both areas.

Supporting students, parents and leading emotional workshops have been part of her life for 18 years. Ms. Marianela has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the Universidad de Monterrey. She is Certified in Positive Psychology from Tec Milenio. She takes different courses to update in studies of discipline, limits, emotions, positive discipline, and conscious discipline. As part of her personal commitments, she is always giving a close follow up to students, helping them in their adaptation process. She is present in socioemotional situations to support teachers and students' families to work as a team. She is empathetic, caring, and her flexible mindset leads to different strategies to support students.

Ana started at San Roberto International School in 2014. With over 15 years of experience in elementary and middle school at different schools from Monterrey, México, she has specialized in comprehensive student support. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Monterrey and a Master's degree in Child Gestalt Psychotherapy from Centro Gestalt Fritz Perls in Monterrey. Currently, she is furthering her studies with a Master's degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Ana started her journey at San Roberto International School in 2014, first as a Special Ed teacher, then as an Elementary Counselor. She has more than 10 years of experience as a homeroom teacher in Elementary and Middle School at different schools from Monterrey, México. Ana studied a Bachelor in Arts with a Major in Psychology from the Universidad de Monterrey and a Master Degree in Child and Adolescent Gestalt Psychotherapy from the Fritz Perls Gestalt Center in Monterrey. Ana’s experiences and passion for education drives her work with students and she utilizes an interactive and compassionate counseling approach through a comprehensive lens; providing academic, social and emotional support for students.

Betty has been working at San Roberto International School since the year 2015 as School Counselor supporting students in their social and emotional learning. She has also had work in other private schools in the same position and has had her private practice for over 6 years. She studied Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
Beatriz Ortega - 6th, 7th, and 9th Counselor
Betty has been working at San Roberto International School since the year 2015 as School Counselor supporting students in their social and emotional learning. She has also had work in other private schools in the same position and has had her private practice for over 6 years. She studied Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. She holds a Master's Degree in Child and Adolescent Counseling and Psychotherapy, Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), among other training and courses to guide her role as School Counselor. Betty is always proactive and has a great follow-up with each one of our students, keeping teachers accountable for students' specific emotional and academic needs. She is capable of handling high-level organization, quick decision making and applies her flexibility in thinking and positivity wherever she is needed.

She has been part of San Roberto’s family for the past 20 years as the Middle School Technology Coach, holds a bachelor’s degree in Education, and is a certified Apple Distinguished Educator since 2015.
Gabriela Reséndez - Technology Innovation Manager
Gabriela believes the effective integration of technology inside the classroom has a strong positive impact on student learning. She has been part of San Roberto’s family for the past 20 years as the Middle School Technology Coach, holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and is a certified Apple Distinguished Educator since 2015. Gabriela has also been the Technology Curriculum Committee Leader for 5 consecutive years, and played an important role during the planning and implementation of both, the 1:1 Laptop Program for Middle School, and the 1:1 iPad Program for Upper Elementary School. She has also promoted our school-wide campaign on digital citizenship for several years. Thanks to those initiatives, San Roberto is recognised as an Apple Distinguished School. She is passionate about graphic and web design and enjoys creating digital communication products for the most important institutional events. Her job has inspired other teachers and empowered students to improve their learning experience through the use of digital tools.

Verónica has been a member of the Early Childhood community at San Roberto for 22 years. In her roles as Early Childhood Technology Coach and Curriculum Leader, she has guided the integration of technology and the implementation of effective curriculum strategies across the Early Childhood department.
Verónica holds bachelor’s degrees in Science of Education from Universidad de Monterrey and Early Childhood Education from the Secretary of Education of Mexico.
Verónica Alcocer - Early Childhood Technology Coach
Verónica Alcocer has been part of the Early Childhood community at San Roberto International School since 2002. Currently she is in the role of Early Childhood Technology Coach, and is also the EC Curriculum leader for the same institution. She holds two bachelor degrees, one in Science of Education from Universidad de Monterrey and Early Childhood Education from SEP, a Master’s Degree in International Teaching from Framingham University, and three certifications as a Speech Therapy from Universidad de Monterrey, Teaching Reading Effectively and Educational Assessment from Edux Liderazgo Educativo. She is passionate about the use of technology, curriculum, and project based learning. She believes that the youngest students are growing in a new era, where digital platforms have the power to develop and expand critical thinking, communication, and creative skills. She is always looking for the best practices that will enrich her students' learning process. In 2019 she became part of the Apple Distinguished Educator program and she is looking forward to continuing to expand her research about the use of technology in early years.

Throughout her career, she has been a dedicated and passionate educator fostering a love for learning in her students and peers. Over the years, she has demonstrated her interest in incorporating the latest educational technology into her teaching practices. Being a lifelong learner, she decided to take on a new challenge as a Technology Integrator and Coach for grades 5 and 6. Her teaching experience and proficiency with technology. As a technology coach, Claudia helps her peers integrate more technology into their teaching, preparing them with the necessary tools to help their students grow as Digital Learners.

She is recognized as both an Apple Distinguished Educator and a Google Educator Level 2, in addition to being acknowledged as a Common Sense Educator. Edna's wealth of educational knowledge and technical proficiency render her a valuable contributor to technology-infused education and Makerspace innovation, nurturing creativity and driving meaningful change within the educational landscape. Currently, she is dedicated to teaching first and second-grade students.

Suzette has been part of San Roberto International School since 2008. She started as an assistant teacher for first grade before moving on into the role of technology coach. Currently she teaches Technology to lower elementary students and coaches elementary teachers on technology tools used throughout different subjects.

She has a bachelor in Communication from TEC de Monterrey, a Masters degree in Education from Universidad TecMilenio and is currently studying a Masters Degree in International Education at Framingham´s University. In 2015 Suzette was recognized as an Apple DIstinguished Educator by Apple, for using and integrating technology in a creative and innovative way in the education field. In 2020 she was recognized as a Global Campus content creator for her participation in the Nord Anglia Virtual School experience, where teachers from all over the world worked together to create lessons available for Nord Anglia students.

Roberta Villarreal is currently the STEAM/PBL coach at San Roberto International school. She has worked for 19 years in the school as a Biology and Chemistry teacher, she has been the Science Curriculum Leader for more than 10 years, implementing the Next Generation Science curriculum in school and helping teachers develop STEAM projects.

She has a Master’s degree in Education and a bachelor degree as Doctor in Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys developing innovative and creative ways for our students to learn which will help them develop 21 century skills and be prepared for their future.

Brenda is a professional with 20 years of experience working in schools in Italy, Ireland, Spain, and Mexico, within an international network of schools. She holds a Ph.D. in Bioethics from the Instituto de Investigaciones en Bioética, providing her with a unique perspective to address the ethical challenges of our modern world.

He has Certifications in Sports Marketing issued by the Universidad Del Valle de Mexico, as well as a Certificate in Sports Business issued by Cruyff University.
Jorge Herrera - Athletic Director
Jorge Herrera graduated from UANL Universidad de Nuevo León and holds a BA in Physical Education & Sport Science, and he is in the process to get a Master’s degree in Sports Management. He has Certifications in Sports Marketing issued by the Universidad Del Valle de Mexico, as well as a Certificate in Sports Business issued by Cruyff University. He has a certification in Sport Coaching from Sports Coaching World as well as in Empowering Coaching from the UK University of Birmingham. Jorge began his coaching career as a trainer at Sports Clinic in Monterrey, he joined San Roberto International School in 1998, and he is a former Soccer coach, Soccer Coordinator, Sports Coordinator, and currently the Athletic Director. He also worked as a physical trainer for the professional team “Club de Fútbol Monterrey”. He has actively participated in the ASOMEX Association of American Schools in Mexico, currently VicePresident of the ASOMEX Athletic Directors Board., Internationally he has been involved in the organization of “The Games” the NAE sport event including schools from the American Region.

Yerika is a cultural promoter, actress, producer, founder and partner of “Teatro de los Peripatéticos A.C.” and “La Bodega de Dionisios (Drama Space). She graduated with a degree in Conductual Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon as well as holds a degree from the U.A.N.L. Performing Arts School.
Yérika Zambrano, - Fine Arts Coordinator
Yerika is a cultural promoter, actress, producer, founder and partner of “Teatro de los Peripatéticos A.C.” and “La Bodega de Dionisios (Drama Space). She graduated with a degree in Conductual Psychology from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon as well as holds a degree from the U.A.N.L. Performing Arts School. As an actress she has participated in 97 plays with locally recognized directors. She gained experience as a scene director in 57 different plays as part of University experimental drama. She has participated in the Drama Course in the École Internationale de Théâthre Jacques Lecoq, Barcelona Spain for 6 consecutive summers, TV production, Dramaturgy workshop, Introduction to Semiotics, Makeup Workshop, Actor work with objects, Fencing, Psychodrama Course, Children Literature Course among others. At San Roberto, she has produced multiple musicals since 2001, such as High School Musical, The King, Annie, Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, among others. Yerika believes drama is undoubtedly one of the scenic expressions with the greatest impact on the viewer, as it relies on body, vocal and musical expression, it is a discipline that proposes work tools that help in all areas of scenic.

Marlene Juárez
ISR Dance Coordinator
Marlene has been a dance teacher for more than 20 years. She became a member of the ISR faculty in 2007. She is a certified teacher endorsed by the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and is also certified by MADAN-UDEM in Dance Didactics/Teaching Techniques Specialized in Jazz. Marlene works as the Jazz Supervisor in the Fine Arts Department from the Nuevo Leon’s Ministry of Education (SEP).

Marlene has been a dance teacher for more than 20 years. She became a member of ISR faculty in 2007. As part of her professional development she has been part of a variety of courses in Juilliard, Broadway Dance Center NY, Steps, Dance Teacher Summit, JUMP, NUVO, 24/7 among others. She is part of the specialized group of ISR choreographers who train students for national and international competitions where she has won several awards.

Mónica Fernández
Library Media Specialist
Mónica has been an ISR family member for 25 years, enjoying a rich and varied career which began with teaching at San Roberto across several academic grade levels and in different positions. Her journey began with teaching in preschool, moving to elementary and eventually to teaching History in Middle School.

Her journey began with teaching in preschool, moving to elementary and eventually to teaching History in Middle School. When the opportunity to become the school librarian knocked her door 15 years ago, she knew it was her chance to encourage our community to become lifelong learners, informed decision- makers and users of information technologies. Monica has a Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate, a Bachelor in International Studies, a Masters in Education and a Masters in Knowledge Management. Monica is excited by San Roberto’s mission and believes that education ignites the will to change your future.
