Launch of the Parent Academy

12 November 2016

It is our great pleasure to introduce to you a new initiative being launched by Collège du Léman: the CdL Parent Academy.
The Parent Academy is aimed at all parents and is a programme of seminars and discussions offering professional support and practical advice. Professionals, who are recognised in their fields of expertise, will be invited to present and discuss current themes in the field of education.

  • parent academy collège du léman

The seminars are free and open to all parents in the community, including those who do not have children at Collège du Léman. We will be happy to meet you and get to know you at these events.
The Parent Academy will become a dynamic community, helping parents to deal with the challenges of raising their children, to better communicate with them and to work closely with the school.
The first seminar will take place on Tuesday 29 November on the following topic:

21st century babies: How to raise, teach and reach multi/bilingual children
How can I best:

  • Support my child’s multi-/bilingual education?
  • Realise the benefits of raising multi/bilingual children?
  • Effectively support and promote learning two or more languages in the home?
  • Recognise and develop my child’s unique multi/bilingual learning style?
  • Help my child discover the motivation to learn languages?
