Middle School is an exciting transition from Primary School to High School, from child to adolescent.

In a safe, happy and purposeful atmosphere, we encourage, monitor and support both the academic and the personal growth of every one of our students.

CDL Middle School Language Programmes 755x500

We offer a choice of 3 programmes: anglophone, francophone and bilingual.

All three programmes are based on the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), as well as the Swiss and French programme of studies.

For Bilingual 6 and 7, Mathematics, Science and Humanities are taught 50:50 in English & French.

In Grade 8 bilingual programme, there is a choice between Anglophone Bilingual with History and Geography in French, or Francophone Bilingual with History, Geography and Science in English.

The Francophone programme is based on the Education Nationale Française and IMYC.  Read more about the Francophone programme here.

Students can move between Anglophone, Francophone and Bilingual programmes at any stage of Middle School, following a review of their language level.

CDL Middle School Day Timetable 755x500

The school day:

The school day begins at 8.15 am as students come into school ready to start class at 8.20 am.  Parents driving to school can use the drop-off point or parking.  We also operate a bus service.

At lunchtime, children can take a healthy, balanced meal in the canteen or bring in their own picnic lunch.

After school, from 3.50 pm, we offer more than 100 extracurricular activities for students to take part in.

Well-being is an integral part of the Collège du Léman Middle School experience.

There is a strong emphasis on Pastoral Care, and each student has a Homeroom Advisor who oversees their well-being.

Our REACH programme ensures that all aspects of students'pastoral development is cared for:

There is an outdoor camp programme at the start of each year, with clear social, educational and skill outcomes, as well as Leadership opportunities in a variety of settings.

Interactive social activities within the House programme, and events organized by the Student Government.

Enrichment activities for students who demonstrate High Potential in one or more areas.

Charity events to raise awareness and to make a difference in the lives of the poor and the vulnerable.

Our RISE values bring together our multi-national learning community to develop global citizenship.

Character is as important to your child's growth as academics. The Academic and Pastoral teams provide support, guide the students as they grow, and set clear expectations for behaviour.

Our diverse school community and our teaching encourage them to respect all cultures, and to see the world as a beautiful place of opportunity.

As part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools we offer our students an enriched curriculum:

Our music, dance and drama curricula have been developed in collaboration with the Juilliard school of performing arts, and are designed to prepare children for the world stage.

Our cross-discipline STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) collaboration with MIT (the Massachusetts Institute of Technology) gives students the tools to invent the future.

Our collaboration with UNICEF gives students an understanding of the UN's 40 Global Goals, and how they can learn to be the global citizens of the future.

Through the Nord Anglia Global Campus: Students from around the world at our 67 sister schools come together to work on projects online.
