BIS International Day

30 October 2015

I had the pleasure of accompanying members of the BVIS secondary student council over to our sister school at BIS on the last Friday before half term for their International Day.

This was an opportunity for their school community to celebrate the cultural diversity amongst the student and staff population there. In just a couple of hours, we were able to visit Vietnam, England, France, Germany, the USA, South Africa, the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, China, Turkey, Australia, South America, Slovakia and Ireland, trying more food than I thought it was possible for teenagers to consume in such a short time! A particular favourite was France’s chocolate fondue..!

The students were, as always, a credit to our school, and were made extremely welcome by staff and students at BIS, whom I would like to thank for the invitation to visit. Well done to Thia, Jen, Ben, Khanh and Annie for getting so involved and showing so much enthusiasm.
