Sports Update Secondary – 30 Oct 2015

30 October 2015

On Tuesday, 27th October 2015, the annual badminton city championship took place at SSIS.

Before the team travelled to the event, they have practised hard to ensure to win the champion or at least to win themselves. The coaches hoped all the team would have an unforgettable time together.

Finally, the team got what they deserved: two champions (Van Anh, Jack-Bon) and one runner-up (Katty-Duc). The coaches felt incredibly proud of their “soldiers”.

Next year, the team will definitely bring home much more good news. Let’s see…………..

Congratulations to our U14 Girls Basketball team took on AAVN on Wednesday 20th Oct. The girls put in an outstanding team performance. After going down 6 points in the first few minutes of the game, the girls fought back and in the first few minutes of the second half BVIS were leading the game. AAVN got a late basket which made the score 10-10 at full time, taking us into extra time. BVIS scored the first basket to take the lead but in the final few seconds AAVN were awarded 2 free shots. They scored their first basket taking the score to 12-11 but were unable to score their second. The final score ended 12-11 to BVIS, a well-deserved win for the girls!

Player of the match: Silk 8V
