Young poets at BVIS

02 June 2015

Last week, I was delighted to hear that the talent of some of our young writers has been recognised. Poems written in Vietnamese by children in 4B are to be published over the next few weeks in “Nhi Dong”, a children’s magazine which is distributed all over the country.

Last term, Year 4 studied a literacy unit entitled “Exploring Forms” when they learned about different forms of rhyming poems and how to create rhyming lines of poetry. The children then wrote their own poems around topics they had discussed such as families and toys.

We look forward to seeing their poems in the magazine – congratulations to our young poets!
