Dear Parents

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for an amazing first half term. Yet again the school has been exceptionally busy with, events, seminars, assemblies, coffee mornings, trips, visits and much more. Thank you to you as parents for your support over this half term it is greatly appreciated.

We finished this half term on a splendid high with a visit from the Juilliard specialist, Paul Murphy. He came to the school for two days to meet with our music teachers and talk to the students about their experiences of Juilliard so far. He was able to witness our first live lunch performance of the year and attend the young musician of the year semi final after school on Thursday. He was very complimentary about the school and the curriculum we are delivering here to our students. Paul will visit us again later in the year.

Finally, we have talked a lot about the benefits of being in a bilingual school and the immense benefits to children of learning at least two languages. Recent research continues to demonstrate the positive benefits on the brain of being a bilingual learner. Being a bilingual learner really does enhance the cognitive ability of young people.
