It was fantastic to see all the secondary students back safe and well from their exciting residential trips on Friday. Feedback from the trip leaders was excellent and I would like to thank all the students for their enthusiasm, sense of sprit and good behaviour whilst on the trips. We are already looking forward to the residentials next year.
Today saw the annual Key Stage 1 production. Another amazing performance and a fitting way to move towards the end of term. For those of you who attended, I’m certain you would have enjoyed the performance and join me in thanking all the staff and children for putting on such a fantastic show.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, I had the immense pleasure of attending the NAE Regional conference for leaders hosted at our sister school BIS Hanoi. It was a great opportunity to share ideas, thoughts and good practice to enable all our schools to offer an even greater service to our communities. Nga Huynh, Year 6 and Preston Rybacki, Language Learning coordinator, also attended the event as representatives of BVIS. They ably shared the outstanding work they have been doing with our children in maths and translanguaging. I am certain their excellent practice will be reflected upon and used by other schools across Asia. There was also opportunity to discuss further Global Campus initiatives and future directions for all eight schools in the region.
Tomorrow we host our annual Christmas Delights. I look forward to seeing you there. Please be reminded that the event is ticket only. Admission will not be allowed without a valid ticket.
Please be reminded that school will close for the holiday on Friday 16th December at 11.30. Please make sure appropriate arrangements are made to collect your child. Buses will leave school at 11.40. School reopens for students on Wednesday 4th January at 8.30am.
