A very warm welcome back and I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and friends over the TET holiday period. I myself took the opportunity to travel Vietnam with my family who were visiting and was able to share in the wonders, the vibrancy and delights of your country at this very special time of year.
We have as always started the half term at a pace and it is the turn of our primary children to take part in residential trips and activities. We have Year 4 out this week, followed by a Year 6 residential to Hoi An and Year 3 sleepover in school next week. The Year 5 students conclude this round of residential visits with their trip to the Mekong on the 2nd March. I know the teachers have spent much time preparing for these exciting opportunities for our young people and I know you will join me in thanking them for their hard work and efforts on these trips and activities.
Next week some of our secondary students will be flying to Malaysia to take part in two very prestigious mathematics competitions. One of the competitions is FOBISIA competing against other schools in the FOBISIA family. The second competition is the annual SEAMC competition. Both competitions will involve the very best young scholars of mathematics from across the region competing as individuals and in teams to test their abilities in this hugely important subject. I wish all our students the very best of luck and know that as always they will make us extremely proud.
Finally, we will be hosting the third of our evening Seminars on Tuesday evening and we would be delighted to see you there.
