After a long hard week of examinations all of years 11, 12 and 13 were invited to RMIT for a series of activities and workshops. The workshops included Entrepreneurship, management, Engineering (Robotics) and 3D design. The 115 students were given hands on experience of life in university and were able to see the range of activities open to them. After a welcome speech partly taken by Lucy, one of our alumni from last year’s graduating class, the group was given a talk on Universities in Australia and the mixed curriculum available at RMIT where students could study for 1, 2 or 3 years in Melbourne and at other universities around the world who have joined RMIT in a student experience partnership.
After the workshops students played in some fun games against the RMIT university teams in Football and Basketball.
This was a great opportunity for our students to sample the options open to them and to experience what university life may be like when they graduate.
