Like many, I had the immense pleasure and pride of attending the graduation ceremony on Saturday evening for the class of 2016. The ceremony was attended by 140 people including families, friends, VIPs and teachers. I was delighted that Rosie and Maurice Nguyen the founders of the school were able to attend and Maurice gave a very warm, personal and meaningful speech to the audience. There was of course mixed emotions on the evening, with a touch of sadness that our students were leaving but also a celebration of their enormous successes and a look forward to their bright futures. Yet again it was impressive to hear the many colleges and universities around the world that our graduates have been accepted into. This included American IVY league and top UK universities. We wish all our graduates well as they make final preparations for their exciting next steps.

On Thursday, 21 primary students packed their cases and their sports kits and headed to Bangkok to participate in our very first FOBISIA U13 sports games. I am certain that the students will represent us well and will have many stories to tell about the competition. Not only will they have the opportunity to compete against some of the best sports children in the region, but it is also an excellent opportunity to meet new friends and learn about new cultures. This will be the first of many FOBISIA sports events that we will be taking part in.
Finally, as we race towards the end of the year there are still many activities, events, trips, clubs and fixtures for students here to engage with and enjoy. Please be aware that we are still having children not being picked up on time after school or after trips, fixtures and events. Not only does this cause a safety issue for us to resolve, but it often means that members of our staff have to stay very late or wait with the child at pick up points. In some cases this has been for over an hour. Please ensure where possible that your children are collected promptly at the published time. Thank you for your co-operation and support on this important issue.
I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
