This week in the Primary School - Ms Rosy Clark - 26/08/2016

A very warm welcome to all of our new BVIS families! It was lovely to see all the children, both new and returning students, this week. We have focussed on re-establishing school routines and expectations with the children so that the new school year gets off to a good start. Detailed language assessments have taken place with new children too.

You may be interested to know that we’ve been busy at BVIS for several weeks already in preparation for the new academic year! Mr Graves and I had the pleasure of greeting our new teachers at the airport when they arrived in Vietnam.

Last week we welcomed a trainer from the UK to work with the BIS and BVIS Primary school teachers and teaching assistants both here in Ho Chi Minh City and in Hanoi. Carol Satterthwaite is a literacy consultant and spent a whole day with us at BVIS delivering up to date training on writing.
