Three special events took place this week at BVIS:
- Paul Murphy, our mentor and music specialist from the Juilliard School in New York, visited for the third and final time this academic year. As usual he spent time observing music lessons and giving constructive feedback to the teachers but he also gave an interactive presentation to parents on Tuesday evening. If you missed the event, you may find out more by following this link:
- On Friday, our Early Years children and teachers celebrated 180 days in School this year with a focus on learning in Maths.
- Also on Friday we welcomed teachers from schools in Thailand, India, Nepal, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Vietnam for the FOBISIA Community Learning conference hosted here at BVIS. Ms Gillie and Mr Gavin our Community Coordinators have been working very hard to prepare the workshops and itinerary for the delegates.
These events are a great opportunity for teachers to share the good practice of the leading British schools in Asia and we were delighted to be able to showcase the excellent work that goes on here at BVIS. One example of this is the support described here in a report sent by Blue Dragon, one of our community partners.
