Thank you to so many of you who came along to the Year 7 Parents’ Evening this week. It was a great turnout, and hopefully you were impressed with the progress that your children have made in Secondary this year.
Our thoughts now turn of course to the current Year 6 cohort who will be joining us for a transition day very soon.
Exams Week has started for all our students in years 7-10 and the children are revising hard. In the final week of term you will receive a final Grade and Tutor Comment report which will give the grades for these exams as well as an overall grade for the entire year in each subject.
There are some fabulous events coming up in the last few weeks of term. Next week, on Thursday evening, we have our Whole School Music Concert, showcasing the very best instrumentalists and vocalists from both Primary and Secondary.
The following week, we are hosting our third annual Sports Awards Evening, celebrating the sporting achievements of all our sports teams across the whole school. We are especially excited to welcome as our special guest, Le Van Cong, who set a world record on his way to winning Vietnam’s first ever Paralympic Gold in Rio last year, lifting over three times his own bodyweight!
In the final week of term, on Wednesday, 21 June, our Prize Giving Assembly will once again recognise the many achievements of students in all areas of Secondary school life. You will receive a reminder nearer the time, but please do put this special event in your diary.
Have a lovely weekend.
