Secondary Update – Mr Jack Rudin – 12/1/2018

12 January 2018

Dear Parents,

It has been great to welcome our students back after the holidays. Students in years 11, 12 and 13  had mock examination before the break and are now preparing for their important examinations in the summer. Good preparation and revision in the next few months can make a huge difference and many students improve by at least a grade over the next few months.

As always we are looking for ways for the students to become independent learners and the art department have providing opportunities for this this week.

This week, year 10 students received some guidance from year 12 AS Art students to set themselves targets and priorities in their art projects.

1

Year 10 are just beginning to establish their area of interest for their IGCSE coursework, and Year 12s can empathise with how daunting this can be, having already been through this process themselves last year!

Opportunities to see the work of other artists and discuss ideas with other students is beneficial at any level of study. It also gave year 12 a chance to reflect on their own targets and priorities in the lead up to their own mock exam.

3

There will lots of other opportunities for students to develop their skills over the next few months and we are looking forward to them achieving at their highest level in the summer.

Have a wonderful weekend

Jack Rudin
