Trips in the Primary School

On Monday both Year 4 and Year 5 were out of school for their Lien Ket ‘entry points’. Entry points are designed to be an exciting start to the Lien Ket topic, thoroughly engaging the children and enthusing them for their learning in the coming weeks. Year 4 visited Sunny Farm outside of Ho Chi Minh City for their new Food and Farming topic, whilst Year 5 visited the Bitexco Tower for their Rivers topic.

Also this week, Year 6 have been in Hoi An for their residential visit. Teachers and children all met at the airport very early on Tuesday morning for their flight to Danang. They have since had a fabulous week of learning outdoors on the beach, in the town of Hoi An, in neighbouring villages and on Marble Mountain. From physical challenges (abseiling and team games) to creative tasks (lantern making and pottery) and from farming to karaoke, it has been a week full of varied and active learning.

A big thank you to Ms Nga and her team of teachers and TAs who accompanied the children.

Rosy Clark
