Dear Parents,

It seems a long time since the holidays and everyone is busily back at their studies. Year 11 12 and 13 are working hard on their GCSE and A level examinations.

We have had year 7 and 8 parents evening this week and I would like to thank all the parents who were able to come along. It was great to see many of you here.

This term in GCSE PE, the Y10 cohort are taking part in a weight training programme at Fit24 gym in District 7. Students have to create their own exercise programme and complete the programme once a week at the gym to improve their muscular strength and endurance. This is a very exciting opportunity for the students to learn how to work out safely in the gym, using different exercise machines and weights. At the end of the 7 week training programme, the students will be assessed and this will contribute to their overall GCSE PE grade. Good luck Year 10!

I hope you have a great weekend with your families.

All the best,

Jack Rudin

Secondary Headteacher
