Thank you to those parents who were able to attend our presentation on “IGCSE and A Levels As a Preparation for International Universities”. It was a pleasure to see so many parents there and to answer your questions about how A levels can help students achieve their long term goals and embark on the career path that is suitable for them.
We had the opportunity to discuss one of the real advantages of A levels, which is the flexibility for students to study the number of courses and the subjects that suits them rather than having to study a set number and range of courses.
Mr Curren also talked about how well respected A levels are by universities across the world and shared a quote from Stuart Schmill, the Dean of Admissions at MIT who says.
‘Students we have who have taken A levels do very well at our campus. They are very well-prepared for our curriculum and we find that they have a lot of confidence, but also that they have good deep subject knowledge, and the ability to think critically and well.’
If anyone else would like more information on the qualifications at BVIS and how to plan for university entrance please do not hesitate to contact Mr Curran or I.
