Year 6 Graduation
The end of the school year heralds one final event in the Primary school - Year 6 graduation. It’s an occasion that is both a celebration of progress and achievement, yet also a time for some feelings of sadness as we bid farewell to another cohort of students.
Ten of this year group joined BVIS during its first year of operation back in 2011-2012. Seven years later, with many memories and moments of great pride, these students were part of a group of 70 who completed their education in the Primary school this week.
At the graduation evening, we enjoyed music, poetry, dance, stories, speeches and even a Maths game prepared by the students themselves. Refreshments, photos and awards also featured. Congratulations to all the Year 6 students for being a fantastic year group and we hope they continue to go from strength to strength in the Secondary school.
See you in August!
We say goodbye in the Primary school to: Ms Emma (Year 2) who is returning to Spain; Ms Julie (Learning Support) who is moving to Hungary; Ms Nicky (Year 6) who is moving to the USA; Ms Sasha (Year 5) who is moving to Panama; two of our PE teachers (Ms Claire and Mr Andy) who are both returning to England. We are grateful for all they have done for the students of BVIS and we wish them well in their next school.
Finally, I wish all our BVIS families a refreshing and happy break from school routines and, if you are travelling, a wonderful holiday.
See you all on Wednesday 22nd August!
