In recognition that children in F1, F2 and F3 return to school much later than all other year groups, we have quickly arranged for our school to be open for them to access after the end of Term 3. A special programme which will be running in 2 weeks from 29 June to 10 July based upon the 3 prime areas of learning is being prepared for all those who would like to join. These areas include:
- Communication and Language
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development

Over the last two weeks, EYFS have been enjoying an additional learning opportunity at BVIS. The title for the additional two weeks was ‘EYFS Safari Adventure’. Each year group focused on different stories, each week, relating to exploration and adventure. For example, F3 focused on ‘Shark in the Park’ and the “The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. From these stories, a variety of activities, based on the story themes, were provided that allowed children to practice their numeracy, English speaking, writing, and reading skills, as well as give further opportunities for their social and emotional development.
During the two weeks, we also had three event mornings. The first was a STEAM morning where the children experimented, designed and tested various ideas, from bubbles in F1, parachutes in F2 to boats in F3.
