Lyliane Stewart
Lyliane Stewart joined La Côte International School in 2016 when she returned to Switzerland after more than 20 years abroad.
After obtaining her Early Years teaching degree in Lausanne, she taught at local Swiss schools and at the International School of Geneva in the bilingual programme at La Grande Boissière. Her teaching career was interspersed by a couple of sabbatical years spent following her passion, wandering around the USA and Asia.
Following her move to London she became the coordinator of a Career Development Programme for expatriate spouses in search of a new career overseas and enjoyed being a mum of two daughters. When her family relocated to Beijing, she forged a new career as an Independent Education Professional. She created the now perennial High School Career Fair at the Western Academy of Beijing, wrote for the well-known expat magazine 'Beijing Kids' and became a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator. She founded Parenting East West, a resource for parents looking for support through experiential workshops.
After many years in China, she has recently returned to Switzerland with her husband, to embark in new adventures à deux. Her long experience of living internationally has given her a good understanding of the various challenges encountered by multi-cultural, bilingual and expatriate families such as her own.
Her passions include psychology, education, travels and food and she enjoys walking and re-discovering the land she grew up in!
