I am originally from the west coast of Canada where I taught for eleven years after graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Victoria. I have since worked in the Middle East, Central America, Slovakia and, most recently, at a boarding school nestled in the Salzkammergut mountain region of Austria where I teach English and I am the Head of Department. During my years overseas, I have also completed my Master of Education degree in International Education, with Framingham State University in Massachusetts, and has been privileged to teach from Nursery through to Year 13. I am also a certified yoga teacher and I am very much looking forward to working with the IB and LCIS to promote mindfulness as a skill for lifelong learning.
I am very much at home in nature and can be found exploring biking and hiking trails in my leisure time – I am very excited about pursuing my outdoor interests in the spectacular beauty of Switzerland. I also enjoy snooping around in organic food shops and markets, growing some of my own food, cultivating my mindfulness practice, and improving my German and French skills.
Having spent a considerable amount of time in the La CÔte region over the last several years, it is with much anticipation that I look forward to being part of the LCIS community and living where I already have so many warm memories.
