Year One’s study into Epic Events concluded with a STEAM project where students designed, created and tested a range of aeroplane designs. This STEAM project was a contextualised link between the IC unit ‘Epic Events’ and an English non-fiction unit ‘Creating Fact Files’.
Lower Campus students enthusiastically got their teeth into this year’s Science Week topic, Plastic Fantastic! Throughout the week, children learned about issues surrounding the planet’s plastic use. They then came together as one to explore, plan and create ways to find a solution to the problem on a school, national and global scale.
ISM Rosinka students have immersed themselves into the written word by each focusing on a class novel that has stimulated their creativity and curiosity. With books ranging from Roald Dahl classics to new takes on beloved fairytales, such as Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs, a love of books has been easy to inspire.
Recently, students of ISM Lower Campus wandered through a universe of literature for a whole week of celebrations. The children were delighted to spend time getting to know their favourite books in more detail than ever before. It was a joy to see so many children absorbed in the world of books!
During February, ISM Rosinka hosted their first ever Virtual Talent Show. Fifteen students from Year 1 to Year 6 competed in our annual event, ‘ISM’s Got Talent’.
Krylatskoe Lower Campus beamed live to countries across the globe with the audience enjoying fifteen wonderful performances, showcasing some incredible skills, from ice skating to gymnastics to singing.
To start off 2021 at The International School of Moscow, all of our campuses held Art Week from 11th to 15th January. This year’s theme was 'A Love of Art' and it was warmly embraced by all staff and students.

It has never been more important for children to learn how to become sound stewards of the global environment. The children on Lower Campus have repeatedly shown genuine care for our planet and are skilled in thinking of creative ideas to help.
