On Friday the 14th of June 2019, ISM Rosinka was full of colour, clowns and circus themed activities. It was the biggest and most exciting Family Fun Day that Rosinka Campuses have ever planned, with a whole range of events taking place across the day.
As is now a tradition at ISM Rosinka, the weather was causing a few challenges and was very unpredictable at the beginning of the day. As the staff entered the school before 08:00, the sky was blue and the sun was shining. However, at 09:15 the rain came and all planning had to be changed. All activities were moved indoors. However, at 10:40 the rain stopped and we made a decision to move all the stalls back outside. It is during these moments that I realise what a wonderful team we have at the school as everything was completed before the 11:00 start time.
Around 350 parents, children and staff attended the event and were fully-engaged in all the activities on offer. Whether it was throwing wet sponges at the teachers, listening to live music performances, taking part in archery or even having a photograph taken with the court jesters, everyone was having a wonderful time.
However, as is the tradition at Rosinka Family Fun Days, the rain came down again and the whole event had to be moved inside. That said, once again, the whole community came together and continued the fun indoors. Teachers quickly moved the stalls inside, the music team used the backup stage in the hall and everyone enjoyed ice cream and chocolate.
Each year, one of the main attractions for the parents, staff and children is the raffle that takes place at the end of the day. Many fabulous prizes were on offer, including three signed Russian Football jerseys.
A huge thank you to Ms Ustinova and the Class Reps for organising the raffle and tombola. A special mention must also go to Ms Miroshina for organising an excellent art auction.
The money raised during the Family Fun Day this year will be donated to the Melisa Erdem Fund. We will also be donating some of the money raised to Speransky Children’s Hospital Fund, located in Moscow (www.childhospital.ru).
As a campus we raised just under 500,000 rubles.
A huge thank you to everyone who supported this event.
