In June 2021, the Rosinka Campus held its first-ever Activities Week, where students from Pre-Nursery to Year Six participated in an array of activities across the Rosinka community.
Although it was the hottest week of the year with temperatures close to 35 degrees, students showed a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and energy. The week started with every student and every staff member meeting on the playground for a whole campus warm up. This involved dancing and moving to some of Mr Charlton’s favourite music!
Every class enjoyed a movie, a disco and the most popular event of the year, a ‘Water Battle’. Students in Year Three to Year Six also participated in Kayaking, which has been very popular this year.
Students in EYFS enjoyed a ‘Grand Prix’, where they raced cars, bikes and scooters around a track, which was a highlight for many children. Students also enjoyed spending time in the EYFS Forest, where they cooked pasta and marshmallows on the fire.
‘Please can we have Activities Week twice a year?’ was a common question that was asked by the students. ISM Rosinka always listens to student feedback and will most certainly add more events and activities in Term One.
In total, students enjoyed over 15 different activities across three magical days.
A very special thank you to all the teachers who helped with organising the event.

The summer holidays are often seen as a chance for children to relax and take a break from learning. However, children’s brain development means that the the learning never stops or even slows down. Outside of the classroom their minds remain as open as ever to exploring the world around them, using their imagination and discovering new things. With this in mind, parents might begin to appreciate the incredible opportunities that the summer brings.
