After-School Activities have been a huge hit so far this year, with children taking part in activities ranging from yoga to football, and Art Attack to Music Madness.
Children got the chance to learn a new skill or try a new hobby away from the formal confines of a lesson.
Undoubtedly, the most successful activity was Forest School, where 30 children learnt to light fires, tie different knots, build tripod constructions, use a saw, and even ate pizza!
So far this term, children have tested their mettle on the climbing wall, practised their dribbling techniques in football and basketball, created some wonderful pieces of art, danced like no one was watching and even created their own stop-motion videos.
Next half term, the children will show off their skills in the kitchen with our cooking ASA, play table tennis or chess and channel their inner Robin Hood at archery.
If your child hasn’t signed up for an ASA, we would urge you to encourage them to do so. Who knows what skills they might learn!
Reading is a fundamental skill that lays the foundation for a child's academic success and lifelong learning. To ensure your child becomes a proficient reader, it is essential to focus on improving their reading comprehension skills from a young age.

The summer holidays are often seen as a chance for children to relax and take a break from learning. However, children’s brain development means that the the learning never stops or even slows down. Outside of the classroom their minds remain as open as ever to exploring the world around them, using their imagination and discovering new things. With this in mind, parents might begin to appreciate the incredible opportunities that the summer brings.
