Year 4 Production: Doctor Dolittle

Welcome to the African Jungle! Throughout November, Year Four have been hard at work learning lines, practicing stage directions and singing songs. This year, Year Four have embarked on an epic journey to save the monkeys as Doctor Dolittle and his trusty companions.

With our intrepid crew of animals, Doctor Dolittle stumbles into and out of trouble, coming across a terrifying African tribe. Well-spoken and cunning, they plan to boil Doctor Dolittle and his loyal animals. Luckily, a trusty monkey swings to the rescue just in time and our Doctor is off on his travels again. Doctor Dolittle arrives at the monkey camp and sets out to vanquish the disease. Having saved the monkeys, he returns victorious to England where the villagers have had a change of heart about him.

Our Lower Campus Year 4 classes have pulled off a spectacular show, enjoyed by all who saw it. The costumes, acting and singing were a joy to behold. The important message portrayed by the cast in our production is to focus on the endangered species found around the world and it asks each of us to consider how we could make a positive impact on them.
