Primary Campus Weekly Update 1 Sep 2025 - Primary Campus Weekly Update 1 Sep 2025

Dear Parents,

Last week we welcomed our new Regional Managing Director, Mr. Stuart White and Regional Director of Marketing and Admissions, Ms. Harriett Gething to our school.

Their time in school was very much spent in classrooms getting to meet children, teachers and TLAs as well as a tour of the school led by student role models in Year 6: Andrea 6E, Carlton 6F and Naomi 6B. The feedback from our visiting colleagues was a strong sense of purpose across the school both in lessons and through our corridors, a school that values relationships and importantly, a school where the children are happy and engaged.

At NAIS Hong Kong, we believe that strong engagement between home and school are essential to every child’s success. Today was a great example of this and we welcomed 80+ parents to our Key Stage 1 Mathematics Workshop led by our great Mathematics Lead Mrs. Harris. Research consistently shows that when parents are actively involved in their child’s education, students perform better academically, develop stronger social skills, and feel more confident in their learning journey.

Parental involvement goes beyond attending school events, it includes engaging in conversations about school at home, supporting learning routines, and building positive relationships with teachers and staff. When children see their parents and educators working together, it reinforces the value of education and creates a supportive environment where they can thrive.

We are looking forward to meeting parents this week at our Parent Teacher Meetings. This critical first step helps you to stay connected with your child’s learning, talk about how they have settled into school, their friendships and reach out to us with any questions or ideas.

Finally, I would ask you to connect with our Parent Teacher Association if you have not already done so. Whether it’s volunteering, joining parent committees, or simply checking in regularly, your presence makes a meaningful difference.

I look forward to seeing you at parent workshops, meeting at parent teacher meetings and whenever there are times to engage in your child’s journey at school.
