Dear Parents,
What a week it’s been! Oliver! It was absolutely fantastic, we are so proud of all the performers and musicians, and of how our school community came together. A huge thank you to the PTA for organising the photo booth, and to all the families and friends who came to support. It was truly a highlight of the year!
The students and staff are still on high today, and rightly so, their hard work, energy, and teamwork were inspiring to see.
Sports Day brought even more house spirit, with students cheering each other on in great weather and even greater cheer. It was wonderful to see such camaraderie and celebration.
We also marked International Women’s Day, brilliantly led by our UNICEF Student Leadership Committee. Our Year 12 and 13 students enjoyed a special “fireside” session with a phenomenal panel of inspiring women. The PTA also generously sponsored breakfast for our Year 12 and 13 students that morning, a special thank you to them for their continued support.
It’s been a week full of achievement, community, and pride, and I couldn’t be prouder of our students and staff. Thank you, for your continued partnership and support — it truly makes all the difference.
Sports Day Reflection

Friday’s Secondary Sports Day at Hammer Hill for Years 7–13 was a spirited and successful celebration of participation, teamwork and healthy competition. Pupils embraced House spirit throughout the day, cheering for teammates, showing excellent sportsmanship and supporting one another across track and field events. The organisation ran smoothly, with efficient marshals, clear scheduling and enthusiastic staff and student leaders ensuring events stayed on time. Highlights included impressive relay exchanges, determined individual performances and a wide range of athletics events that allowed pupils of different abilities to contribute and shine. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive, building community pride and leaving students and families energised by the strong sense of camaraderie and competitive fun that made the day a real success.

Sports Day Windsor House Champion
What a day yesterday was for everyone involved in what was an amazing NAIS HK Sports Day. Students from all houses showed off their courage, ambition, and through their incredible sportsmanship, they all lived with absolute integrity.
Of course, it was a particularly special day for Windsor House who came back and reclaimed our rightful place as WINNERS! I am so proud of our amazing house, for showing up, showing off and bringing the trophy back home! WELL DONE WINDSOR!

School Production Reflection
On Thursday, March 5th, and Friday, March 6th, NAIS HK opened the doors to a spectacular showing of Oliver! the musical, and what a remarkable experience it was! The students truly shone on stage, bringing the streets of London to life with energy and enthusiasm.

The feedback from staff, students, and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the remarkable talent and dedication of our performers. Over the past seven months, every participant has contributed to the magic of this production. It has been an absolute joy to work with such committed and passionate individuals who have shown exceptional professionalism throughout the process.
I want to extend a huge well done to all students and staff involved in this incredible journey. Your hard work and dedication are commendable and have made this production a resounding success!
Warm regards,
Ms. Cocker
International Women’s Day Reflection

The campus was buzzing with International Women’s Day celebrations. The common spaces were decorated in purple, the staff and students were given the opportunity to reflect on a woman that they admire and the UNICEF club hosted an International Women’s Day assembly. In this assembly, the UNICEF members shared the history of this important day, women who have made incredible contributions to their fields of expertise and the different ways that we can support women in our community. The UNICEF committee also sold purple ribbons for students to wear as a fundraiser for UN women who have many great initiatives that support women; a total of HK$1663 was raised! The IB editorial team also put together a special edition for International Women’s Day – watch this space for its publication! There was also a special #FiresideFriday hosted in the auditorium for the IB students.
#FiresideFriday: International Women’s Day Special

Last week’s #FiresideFriday for International Women’s Day Special was a highly inspiring event for our Sixth Form students. We were honoured to welcome Ms. Devi Novianti from the Equal Opportunities Commission, alongside three fantastic parent speakers from diverse professional backgrounds. The students learned from the unique career journeys of an Ms. Viswam, an Engineer-business Psychologist Ms. Wong, a Counsellor and Play Therapist, Ms. Iveri, a Financial Specialist. A special well done to our four Year 12 and 13 student MCs who confidently led the session. The audience showed impressive maturity, engaging the panel with thoughtful questions during a lively Q&A. The supportive atmosphere was made even better by our attending parent guests and the wonderful breakfast generously provided by the PTA. It was a fantastic morning of community, leadership and connection!
Physics Challenge
For the first time, students were invited to complete the Intermediate and Senior Physics Challenges set by the British Physics Olympiad. 16 students from Years 10-13 opted to take part, with some of them even having attended Sports Day that morning! The BPhO Physics Challenge is a rigorous paper designed to stretch curious learners beyond the standard Physics curriculum, emphasising creative problem-solving, careful reasoning, and clear communication of Physics ideas. It was impressive to see these students stepping up to be the first entrants of this exam, especially with some of them being in the earlier stages of completing both the iGCSE and IB courses. We are looking forward to seeing what certificates we manage to get!

Ctrl, Alt, Shift – IB Visual Arts and Music Show
IB Visual Arts students are free to develop and explore whatever theme they choose. They are encouraged to create personal and meaningful responses to their area of research and growing specialism. This year student’s work is at times hard hitting, challenging and confrontational. The Arts should enable young people to engage with the world around them. Students are given the opportunity to question, critique and where possible consider solutions to the challenges of the unprecedented times of change that we are all living through.
This year is extra special as our artists and musicians have collaborated to offer an immersive experience for the audience, with sound and visuals. We have a range of artwork from traditional painting and drawing to interactive installations and our students are working full steam ahead preparing to share their work with our community. I am sharing some of the photos of our final week of preparations, for what promises to be a memorable event.
The Arts faculty and our excellent students would love you to come and join us for drinks and nibbles to celebrate the opening night of our IB Visual Arts and Music Show!
