Primary
In Primary School, students from Year 2 upwards complete standardised assessments (GL assessments) at the end of each academic year, ensuring their progress is carefully monitored.
Results are used to review individual progress and compare it with other children in the same age range. These standardised assessments measure the performance of all children following the National Curriculum for England, and identify the level of attainment in English (reading, grammar and punctuation, and spelling) and maths.
At NAIS Manila, our students consistently perform better than the UK national average.
Secondary
At NAIS Manila, our Secondary School students work towards internationally recognised qualifications: the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Years 10 and 11, followed by A-levels in Sixth Form. These rigorous programmes provide exceptional preparation for university and are benchmarked against global standards.
IGCSE Results
Academic Year 2024–25
We are incredibly proud of our students' performance in this year’s IGCSE examinations. Their hard work and resilience have resulted in strong outcomes across the board:
31% achieved A–A*
58% achieved A–B*
82% achieved A–C*
100% pass rate
(*Data adjusted to account for one non-attending candidate)
Our results continue to perform above global averages, reflecting the quality of teaching and personalised support our students receive.
Notable Achievements
Across the cohort, we celebrated:
Multiple students achieving 7 or more top grades
Exceptional progress from students who joined the school with limited English proficiency, achieving a strong set of A*–B grades
Significant success from students receiving additional learning support, several of whom achieved A*–C grades across the subjects they sat
These outcomes demonstrate not just academic excellence, but also the strength of our inclusive learning culture.
Departmental Highlights
Several subject areas achieved outstanding results, including:
Chinese: 67% A*–A and 100% A–C*
Computer Science, EAL, ESL, Music, and PE: 100% A–C*
Science: Despite being a core subject taken by the full cohort, Science outperformed the NAISM average across all key indicators
These successes reflect both the dedication of our teachers and the high levels of engagement from our students.
