Sports
Our students love getting active. Whether it’s working towards their first Taekwondo belt, striking a football into the top corner, or achieving a personal best in our pool, we make sure every child enjoys sport in and outside of the curriculum. This boosts their health, develops vital transferable skills, and brings friends together. Our students also compete in House competitions and against other schools, where they work as a team and learn the importance of sportsmanship.

Performing arts

Drama, dance, and music enrich the school experience, and we encourage our students to express their creativity from an early age. Through our exclusive collaboration with The Juilliard School, aspiring actors, performers, and musicians learn from expert instructors and artists, immersing themselves in activities that inspire lifelong passions. Your child will showcase their talents at enrichment clubs that span the performing arts, too, including ballet, dance sport, and guitar building club.

Creative

We offer a plethora of creative clubs – which span the arts, media, and STEAM – that ignite our students’ imaginations. At our Lego robotics club, your child will discover the wonders of 21st century learning, as they put their logic and problem-solving skills to the test to build Mars Rovers, rockets, and planes. Film fanatics can discuss the latest and classic releases at our movie club, while aspiring illustrators can storyboard and sketch in our drawing group.

Global expeditions
Our children join Nord Anglia students from across the globe on exhilarating expeditions to Tanzania and Switzerland.
Global expeditions

Our incredible citizenship trip to Arusha, Tanzania teaches students about global responsibility and sustainability, and the important role we play in looking after our planet. Working with locals on a variety of projects, students develop a sense of independence, increase their understanding of the world, and learn the importance of being part of a community.

The personal challenge expedition in Les Martinets, Switzerland, encourages our students to push themselves to their limits. Set in the beautiful Swiss Alps, students hike through the mountains and take on a series of challenges. Students also learn important skills – like cooking and working together under pressure – while creating treasured memories that will stay with them forever.

Residential trips

From Year 4 onwards, your child will enjoy an annual residential trip in the Philippines.

Each adventure is aligned with the curriculum and packed with hands-on experiences that enhance our students’ understanding of teamwork and leadership, while building self-confidence and independence. For many, it’s the highlight of their year.

Our experienced staff will guide your child through various outdoor activities, like camping and hiking, which provide hands-on learning opportunities in a safe and supportive setting.

Students also learn about the local environment, history, and culture. Residentials encourage our students to engage with the natural world and develop a deeper appreciation of sustainability, too. Your child will also interact with local communities, gaining a first-hand understanding of different ways of life.

Local excursions

From an early age, our children make the most of our diverse city, its vibrant cultural scene, and wonderful natural surroundings.

Each excursion is designed to enhance the education your child will receive in the classroom. Our Year 5 students, for example, learn about World War II on eye-opening visits to Corregidor Island and the US Military Cemetery.

Our students experience the lively culture and rich history of the Philippines at the Lakbay Museo. From delicious cuisine to colourful traditions, students immerse themselves in the beauty and diversity of our country. Our trip to the Masungi Georeserve will teach your child about the environmental challenges facing our planet, too. On the stunning legacy trail, students explore local landscapes, flora, and fauna, while learning about sustainable living and conservation.

STUDENT WELLBEING

WHERE HAPPY STUDENTS FLOURISH

At NAIS Manila, we know that happy students achieve more. That’s why wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. And our parents agree - 97% say their child feels happy, included, and empowered at our school.

Our closeknit community creates a nurturing environment where everyone flourishes. Here, we celebrate uniqueness and individuality, and provide an education that supports our students’ social, emotional, and physical growth.

Our pastoral care team actively keep an eye on each child’s wellbeing, too. Through our Pupil Attitudes to Self and School (PASS) programme, for example, we identify areas where students face challenges and provide bespoke support. We also give our learners the tools they need to bounce-back from adversity, through specialist PSHE sessions and cutting-edge programmes on our Global Campus platform.

OUR SOCIAL PURPOSE

DRIVING LOCAL AND GLOBAL CHANGE

Our students have the power to change the world. That’s why we offer tangible opportunities for them to engage with local and global issues, understand the challenges facing society, and make a real difference – now and in the future.

Your child will stand up for what they believe in and make their voice heard through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF. They’ll learn about pressing international issues – like the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Rights of the Child agendas – and research, debate, and present solutions through collaborative projects on Global Campus.

Locally, our students come together to support charities like ShelterBox, a humanitarian organisation that provides disaster relief to Filipino communities. Our students also see the impact of their work through fundraising events and by collecting essential items for for children with cancer.
