Raimondo Di Egidio

I am the Film Production and IB Film and Theatre instructor at North Broward Preparatory School, working with students from middle school through 12th grade. I teach Middle School Film & Effects, High School Film Production classes and IB Film and Theater courses, helping students build technical skills and develop their creative voices through hands-on storytelling. In addition to teaching, I serve as the TEDx NBPS Youth coordinator and am one of the Cross Country coaches. I advise the Film Club and the Scuba Club, where I share my passion for filmmaking and diving beyond the classroom. As an Extended Essay (EE) advisor for the IB Diploma Programme, I support students in conducting in-depth academic research, guiding them through independent investigations into topics they care deeply about. I also serve as an IB Film examiner, assessing student work from around the world and staying closely connected to global standards in film education.

Professionally, I am a photographer and videographer with experience in film, television and event production. I regularly film and live stream Fine Arts performances and school-wide events with my student crew, ensuring our community moments are captured and shared. I was also one of the founding members of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Global Film Festival, which celebrates student filmmaking across our international network of schools.

My work is driven by a deep commitment to mentorship. I take pride in helping students not only grow as artists and thinkers but also prepare for futures in the creative industries. Many of my students go on to pursue film, media, and performing arts in college and as professional careers. Supporting them as they define their paths and reach their goals is at the heart of what I do.
