OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD CURRICULUM 

North Broward Preparatory School’s Early Childhood curriculum spans Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten. At this formative stage in our youngest students’ education, we foster an encouraging and nurturing environment where children are supported to learn, play, and grow. Our philosophy is that, together, ‘we can do hard things’.

Pre-Kindergarten and Junior Kindergarten at North Broward, Florida, are exciting times of development and growth in our preschool curriculum students.


Our Lower School is a nurturing environment where children learn through doing. Students explore the performing arts, STEAM, and athletics programs. We encourage our little ones to ‘ do hard things ’ and give them the opportunity to change the world through student-driven service projects.


We make sure our students feel safe and loved, too. Our teachers use proven strategies that ignite the potential in every child, promoting individualized learning, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving.

AN IN-DEPTH LOOK AT OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD CURRICULUM

At North Broward Prep, Florida,Early Childhood education focuses on the cognitive, creative, social, and physical development of each child.


Our Early Childhood curriculum includes multi-genre reading, language arts, writing, math, social studies, science, foreign language, and technology instruction. Enrichment activities and extracurricular programs are implemented throughout these areas, too. This extends our students’ learning, offering opportunities such as dance and musical theatre, cooking, and gardening.

Our preschool curriculum includes:
  • Multi-genre reading.
  • Language arts.
  • Chinese language.
  • Technology – every student learns how to strategically use their iPad!
  • Fine arts and performance arts lessons in collaboration with The Juilliard School.

MAKING LEARNING VISIBLE

Throughout our Early Childhood curriculum at North Broward, Florida, we develop habits of mind by adopting the ‘making learning visible’ teaching philosophy. We challenge our children to think critically and explore real world problems in math, language arts, social studies, science, and world languages.

Our youngest Eagles begin to understand complex world challenges. They also start to realize the power they have to impact the world through service.
