Our Approach at North Broward Prep
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten are exciting times of development and growth in our young students as they partake in an expansive array of opportunities to study, learn, and play. Our Lower School provides a nurturing environment where students learn through doing. Students can explore the performing arts, STEAM, and athletics programs. Our little ones are encouraged to “do hard things” and are given the opportunity to change the world through student-driven service projects.
Our students here feel safe and loved. At every level, North Broward Prep teachers combine proven teaching strategies tailored to ignite the potential in every child by promoting individualized learning, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving.
Significantly, during these foundational years, our students develop habits of mind through our “making learning visible” teaching philosophy. They are challenged to think critically and tackle real world problems in mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, and world languages. Our youngest Eagles begin to understand complex world challenges and understand that they have the power to impact the wider world through service.
