As an educator passionate about developing informed global citizens, I bring real-world relevance to the classroom through dynamic courses in Economics, Human Geography, and Global Diplomacy. My teaching philosophy centers on creating authentic learning experiences that connect academic concepts to students' lives and their role in our interconnected world.
Beyond the classroom, I serve as Coach and Faculty Advisor for our award-winning Model United Nations team, which has become a cornerstone of our school's academic excellence. Our dedicated students travel to multiple conferences throughout the year, including EMPIREMUNC in New York City, NAIMUN in Washington, D.C., and MICSUN at the University of Miami. In these conferences, they engage in diplomatic simulations and tackle complex global challenges, with a strong emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goals. Through Model UN, students develop critical thinking, public speaking, negotiation, and research skills while gaining deep understanding of international relations and current events. Their hard work and preparation have earned numerous individual Delegate awards. Our team has proudly received three prestigious top Delegation school awards during the 2024-2025 school year, including the Best Large Delegation awards at BULLSMUN (University of South Florida) and MICSUN (University of Miami), and the Outstanding Large Delegation award at EMPIREMUNC (New York University). These accomplishments reflect our commitment to excellence in the education of global citizens.
My goal is to inspire students to see themselves as active participants in the global community, equipped with skills and perspectives necessary to address tomorrow's challenges. My hope is that both in the classroom and through the Model UN program, my students develop expanded worldviews and real confidence in their ability to make meaningful contributions to society.
