I’ve been part of the NBPS community for most of my life. I was an international student here, and now I am proud to serve as a faculty member with over 13 years of experience in education. Some of my favorite teachers from my time as a student are now my colleagues, which makes this place feel even more like home.
NBPS holds a special place in my heart, not only as the school where I learned and grew, but also where I met my husband. We were classmates in AP Calculus and AP Physics and even went to prom together, twice. Now, our two young boys are students here as well. It is incredibly special to watch them begin their own journeys at the same school that shaped so much of our lives.
In addition to teaching AP Computer Science, I have taught Pre-Calculus and IB Math for more than ten years. My background in mathematics allows me to help students make meaningful connections between math and computer science, building both their logic and creativity.
I believe computer science empowers students to think deeply, collaborate effectively, and create real-world solutions. Watching a student go from writing their first line of code to developing a functional program is incredibly rewarding. I especially enjoy guiding students through challenges and seeing the excitement when they discover solutions on their own.
Beyond the classroom, I love supporting my students in all aspects of their lives. Whether it is cheering them on at a football game, applauding their performance in a school play, or attending a music recital. Being part of their growth journey means the world to me.
To all Eagles: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Stay consistent, and you will achieve your goals.
