Kimmi Johnson Grimes

As the Lower School Drama teacher, I have the joy of guiding students through imaginative exploration in the classroom and on stage. I direct two after-school productions, one for 3rd–5th graders and one for K–2nd and love watching students grow in confidence and creativity through the rehearsal process. I believe theatre is for everyone, and every child has something valuable to bring to the story. In my classroom, I strive to create a playful, welcoming space where all students feel safe, seen, and inspired to take creative risks. I’m passionate about nurturing young artists and believe that early arts education builds empathy, courage, and collaboration, skills that last a lifetime.
